Having been travelling overland / offroad for over 20 years, I have put together this series on Overlanding for beginners. Sharing my experiences for the benefit of the wider community, especially those looking to get into this wonderful lifestyle.

Travelling overland by 4x4 truly presents the opportunity to enjoy the journey whilst the destination is only part of the bigger picture.

Having talked on types of vehicles, modifications to vehicles and basic camping gear you should consider, I now talk on safety, emergencies and communication in this video.

I constantly come across offroaders / overlander (even experienced ones) who pay little attention to having adequate communication means and having the necessary safety equipment in the event of an emergency. Ideally these should be at the top of your list.

I am by no means the ultimate expert in this offroading / overlanding. I don't profess to be one. What I enjoy doing is sharing the knowledge and experience gained over my time with the wider overlanding / offroading community so that it becomes part of the wider research you may be doing.
