Offroad GPS For Under $200
Despite living in the digital age, when offroad overlanding, my primary navigation aids are printed maps. Call me old fashioned, but to me printed maps don't malfunction, run out of battery power or satellite signal. Having said that, I do love technology so carry a GPS as well. At times two units just for the heck of it. :)
What ever I do in life I always look for maximum value for the money I pay. This applies to any accessories I fit to my 4x4 (DICEROS) or any other gear I may buy. With this in mind, I could not justify paying upwards of $500 for a offroad GPS unit for my overlanding.
So after much research I came up with a much keener priced alternative. Yet with all the features / functionality of the more pricier offroad GPS units. In fact this option offered me a lot more versatility than just a GPS unit.
In this video I share with you how I achieved this.
NOTE - Some AVENZA maps are free. Also in some maps you can drop in waypoints with information and images relating to that point.
