Amazing Whiting Burger | Best Place To Eat On Kangaroo Island

If you are wondering where to eat in Kangaroo Island or where the best food in Kangaroo Island is, then you have to head over to Vivonne bay general store. It is the only store by a long stretch and they have the best Whiting burgers you can sink your teeth into. If I was to write a Kangaroo Island food guide I would most likely rank this location and of course the burger at the top of the list.

Being the only general dealer in the area, the lonely store sits on the side of the main road providing an invaluable service to travellers, people going fishing as well as the locals who would want to stock up on supplies, fill up with fuel or get a bite to eat.

Apart from the famous whiting burger there are other food items and beverages available. If you are looking for a cooked meal or snack make sure you get there before 4pm. Though the stores closes at 6pm, the kitchen closes a little earlier.

So if you are head towards Kangaroo Island and looking for things to do then amongst the many things you can see and do, make sure Vivonne Bay general store is on your route as you head towards Flinders Chase National Park.
