A couple of hours drive from Adelaide is Mount Remarkable national park. It is an ideal place to take the family. This park offers lots of diverse wildlife and breathtaking geological formations to walk amongst. Its high ochre ridges, deep gorges and watercourses lined with river red gums will keep you spellbound.
There are some amazing views to take in. The 960m high Mount Remarkable Summit presiding over the Willochra Plain looking out to the Spencer Gulf is a must for every outdoor enthusiast.
A number of camping sites are available for those looking to take in the outdoors experience to the fullest.
Best time to visit this park is between April and October when temperatures will be mild to moderate. During the Summer months temperatures can be as high as high 30s.
